Drift McLaren, Radical, and HKS
Build of the Week
It takes a former professional drifter to build something of this caliber. Mad Mike Whiddett starts this build with the goal of taking it to the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Some of his videos have been taken down, but still worth a watch. Then aim to catch the Festival on July 14th.
Article of the Week
This is a great sign for future motorsports. It was just 1 car in the Radical Cup that ran on sustainable fuel, but this is also in preparation to F1’s 2026 sustainable fuel initiative. If you don’t know about the Radical Cup, its a single seater, wheel to wheel race series aimed to have low barrier to entry, and exciting racing.
Fun Fact of the Week
HKS stands for Hiroyuki, Kitagawa, Sigma; the 2 founders and capital backer. They originated in the 1970’s building turbos for Nissans and became one of the largest Japanese tuning shops. If you can’t picture their cars off the top of your head, they rock a purple, teal, and black livery on almost all their race cars.
